Cooper Pool

• 2010 Learn to Swim Classes
  Are offered to boys and girls ages 5-14. Registration will be in late May or early June (dates will be announced at a later time). Registration times will 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Johnson Park on Thursdays and Fridays prior to each session. Classes are offered in the morning between the hours of 8 and 12 noon (each class lasting one hour), Monday thru Friday at Cooper Pool. Each session lasts for two weeks and cost $30.00 per child. Session dates will also be anounced at a later date. We offer beginner, advanced beginner, intermediate/swimmer classes. For more information call 222-2714.
• Swimming at Cooper Pool
  Public Swimming is 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays at Cooper Pool (by McDonalds), Wednesdays & Fridays at Coleman Center (by Andalusia Middle School). Pool Parties at Cooper Pool- The pool may be rented Thursdays from 7:30 - 9 p.m. and Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays nights from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. or 7:30 - 9 p.m., fee is based on number of swimmers and sessions. Coleman Center

• Summer Playground Program
  The Coleman Center offers a Summer Playground Program. This is an annual program that runs during the months of June and July. The program is free and opened for ages 5-14. Lunch is served daily for the participants. The Program provides a number of activities, see below.
• Learning Center
  A Learning Program is offered at the Coleman Center and open to ages 6-11 years old, Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are different levels of the program depending on the age of the participant. This program helps reinforce basic learning skills in reading, writing, math, and language, for the younger children alphabet, shapes and numbers.
• Basketball & Cheerleading
  Each year in June, the Coleman center offers a one week camp for those individuals interested in basketball or cheerleading
• Library Program
The youth from the Coleman Center are transported to the Andalusia Public Library on Tuesdays & Thursdays to participate in the reading
program.
