The City of Andalusia will be closed on Friday, April 7, 2023, for Good Friday. 

Friday's garbage will be picked up on Monday, April 10, 2023, along with Monday's Route. Please have garbage out the night before.

Coterie is combining its two fundraisers on the same day this year, with a 5K in the morning and a Storybook Festival in the afternoon. Stay tuned for more details. 

For today's Summer Reading Program, we will have two sessions. Children 8 and younger should come to the LIbrary at 1 p.m. Ages 9 and older should come at 3 p.m.

Get Outdoors Day! June 10th from 7am-11am (rain or shine) Located at the pond next to the USDA Building on Hwy 55. Youth ages 3-15 must be accompanied by an adult. Only 2 fishing poles allowed per child. Don't forget your bait and tackle!!

Save on back-to-school purchases, beginning when the clock strikes 12:01 a.m. on Fri., July 21, and continuing through midnight Sunday night. 

Andalusia, Covington County, Opp, Florala and Red Level, along with the State of Alabama, will not collect sales taxes on eligible hours during that time. 

ReAct Theatre and Arts has scheduled a community meeting on August 14 for anyone interested in working behind the scenes to help produce its planned 2023-24 program of work.

The community meeting is set for 6 p.m. on Monday, August 14, in the auditorium of Andalusia City Hall. It is not necessary for those interested only in auditioning for future roles to attend.

“Tales from the Tomb,” is an evening walk through Magnolia Cemetery designed to introduce participants to some of the characters from Andalusia’s past whose final resting place is there. It is set for Oct. 7, and auditions will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, August 21, at the Church Street Cultural Arts Centre. There are expected to be 8 to 12 speaking roles.
